Black Bear Resort is a master planned community located in Bear Lake County, Idaho. The resort has 4,000 acres with more than 3,000 planned residential units. Danny Macfarlane helped to create the overall master plan which includes a golf course, biking trails, ATV trails, equestrian facilities, skiing facilities, hiking and other amenities. Danny was specifically tasked to coordinate his efforts with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality to create a utility master plan. The utility master plan included a water system with 2.0 million gallons of storage, 3 wells and pumping stations, water lines ranging from 8 inches to 18 inches, miles of sewer lines, sewer lift stations, and other facilities. The utility master plan received approval from Idaho DEQ in late 2008. Danny worked for another firm during the project.
