The Uintah County Library is an architectural gem situated in the heart of Vernal City. The three story building is surrounded by a beautiful plaza and landscaped areas. The parking lot and site was designed to handle storm water on-site. The creative landscape design used large boulders from the excavation for seating and develop a strong aesthetic for the site. The landscape also features planters, seating, children plazas, and open grass areas. CSG was retained by the Architect to complete all civil and landscape design services and observation during construction.

The Golden Age Senior Center is a multifunction center for  the senior community. The facility houses meals on wheels, a Wii Fitness Center and senior community events. The site was designed with low-impact development methods to reduce storm water runoff to the adjacent wetlands. Rain gardens, open swales, and percolations methods were used. CSG completed all civil engineering and worked with the architect to complete the site layout for the project. Landscape design, garden design and irrigation design was also performed by CSG personnel (while w/ other firm).

This renewable energy project features a 4 kW Micro Hydroelectric Facility located in Smithfield Canyon, UT. The project is used to power an equine facility and a future home. The output from the facility provides adequate energy to power three to four average sized homes. The magnificence of the hydroelectric turbines used for this project only require a vertical drop of ten feet, much less than the traditional hydroelectric turbine. Civil Solutions Group completed all permitting, planning, design, and construction administration for the owner.

CSG was retained by the architectural team to complete the civil site design and site related LEED consultation for the Utah State University Strength and Conditioning Center.  The site presented unique challenges due to the steep slopes, poor soils, complex utility network, interface with the existing North End Zone Building, and the need to retain all storm water on site.  CSG completed all civil related design and a sustainable low impact development storm water design that collects all water within two large cisterns.  This project is currently striving to achieve LEED Silver.

CSG was commissioned to complete the civil site design documents for the newly completed Logan River Golf Course Club House. The site was designed to collect and control all storm water on-site without the use of pipes or storm drain boxes. All surface water is directed to an on-site collection area where it is cleaned prior to discharge to the adjacent golf course area. CSG also completed construction staking services during the construction of the site.

The Utah State University Brigham City Campus recently acquired additional acreage at the site of the old Indian School.  CSG was asked to complete a 100 year planning horizon utility master plan for the proposed campus area to determine the adequacy of the existing sewer, water, gas, and storm drain systems along with analysis of the feasibility of a campus wide secondary irrigation system.  The completed plan was included in the overall Brigham City Campus master plan document.

The newly completed Logan River Golf Course Building developed ice issues during the winter months due to the drainage from the roof drains.  CSG completed the design and oversight for storm drain system to drain the roof drains on the project.  The completed project will allow for safe pedestrian access to the building during winter months.
